Training and Education

I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) in Ontario. I also hold a PhD in Child and Youth Studies from Brock University, a Master’s degree in Psychology from the University of São Paulo (USP), and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Saskatchewan, with a focus on human–animal interaction and mental health.

I am a Certified Pet Loss Grief Support Specialist through the American Academy of Grief Counseling.

My clinical training includes work with couples using the Gottman Method, as well as evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), particularly for anxiety and OCD.

I also draw from attachment-based perspectives and adapt my approach based on the needs of each client.
